Natalie Portman in Rodarte

After the premiere in the Venice Film Festival and a special preview sponsored by Christian Dior in New York, Black Swan debuted on last Friday evening in the USA. The movie is directed by Darren Aronofsky and has a strong cast: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Winona Ryder e Vincet Cassel in the leading roles.
Natalie plays a fragile ballet dancer who aspires to the lead role in Swan Lake. She must to convince the director of the company (Vincent), to handle the pressure of her mother and the competition with a rookie. And it is from here that the suspense, even involving the mutilation, takes place. Natalie, who was appointed six years ago for her performance in Closer, is again a favorite to the Oscars. Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the duo behind Rodarte, designed dresses with Swarovski encrusted jewelry for 40 ballet dancers costumes. Natalie, whose character is insecure, shy, paranoid and virginal usually, dresses white, gray or pink color. While her rival, Mila Kunis, whose character is more relaxed and wild always wears black. The dramatic makeup was done by Judy Chin, Sarah Jessica Parker´s personal makeup artist. In this thriller about female ghosts and obsessions of women, Natalie gives everything. A disturbing story with a luxury wardrobe.
